A white Dodge Durango driving down a misty forested roadWhen you come across the 2020 Dodge Durango, the search for your next SUV gets much easier. But how do you decide which of the Durango’s trim levels is the right one for you? Here’s a quick guide to the best features each trim has to offer.

SXT

The 2020 Dodge Durango comes in five main trim levels, starting with the SXT. The SXT, as well as the next two trim levels, comes equipped with a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that produces 295 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque and has a towing capacity of 6,200 pounds. The base-level five-seater SXT starts the Durango lineup off strong with an already impressive list of features, including a touch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility and tri-zone automatic climate control.
The SXT is also available as an upgraded Plus model, which adds a third row of seating, optional second-row captain’s chairs, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and heated leather seating for the front row.

GT

The Durango GT gives the Durango’s front fascia a sporty facelift and adds larger 20-inch wheels. It comes standard with a third row, and both the back rows have the fold-and-tumble feature that allows you to fold them flat into the cabin floor.
The GT Plus adds a heated steering wheel and heated first- and second-row seats. You’ll also get a remote starter and a 115-volt power outlet.

Citadel

The Citadel trim focuses on luxury, adding leather-trimmed upholstery to the creature comforts of the GT Plus. The touch screen grows to 8.4 inches from the 7-inch starting version and has access to the premium navigation system. The Citadel also has an improved sound system.
This trim level comes as a Citadel Anodized Platinum version as well. This model is equipped with the R/T’s HEMI engine, though not its enhanced suspension system, and comes standard with second-row captain’s chairs.

R/T

The R/T is where you start seeing the muscle-car performance the Durango is capable of. Equipped with a 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine, the R/T punches out 360 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque. It also introduces a performance steering and sport suspension system that improves the Durango’s dynamic driving experience. The R/T can also be equipped with the all-wheel-drive system that boosts traction on slippery roads.

SRT

Those who want the highest level of power from their SUV might be interested to know that the 2020 Durango SRT is the most powerful three-row SUV in America. It’s equipped with a more powerful 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 engine that produces 475 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, which allows it to tow a best-in-class 8,700 pounds. It comes with a performance-tuned all-wheel-drive system, an enhanced performance suspension system, and can be equipped with Brembo brakes.
