Huffines Chrysler Jeep Dodge Lewisville invites you to take a few hours and spend some time outdoors exploring everything nature has to offer at one of these Lewisville parks.
Central Park
Central Park was developed as Lewisville’s Sesquicentennial Park in 1986 to celebrate 150 years of independence from the Republic of Texas. Sitting on 39.5 acres, Central Park is found adjacent to the North Bank of Timber Creek on Edmonds Lane.
Picnic pavilions and a band shell are available for reservations with picnic table seating available for up to 36 people, including handicapped accessible tables located in the picnic pavilions. A playground, public restrooms, and a 1-mile bike/hiking trail are also available within the park.
Lake Park
Located along the Lake Lewisville shoreline, Lake Park provides more than 662 acres of nature and outdoor fun just east of Mill Street. Leased from the Army Corps of Engineers and operated by the city, the park has three main areas; the athletic facilities, lake related uses, and a golf course.
The 18-hole course provides an ideal setting for either golf or disc golf, while the athletic area includes eight lighted baseball fields, two lighted softball fields, eight lighted soccer fields, two playgrounds, three public restrooms, four concession buildings, three picnic areas, and parking.
For a nominal fee, you can also utilize lake related areas where you will find courtesy docks, boat ramps, swimming areas, picnic areas, and a pavilion perfect for group rentals. You will also enjoy an assortment of wildlife around the park including numerous species of birds.
Willow Grove Park
Located on the shores of Lake Lewisville, and connected to the many other Lewisville parks via the Timber Creek Trail, Willow Grove Park provides 1.2 acres of beautiful scenery and is home to many different recreational activities to keep you entertained while exploring the outdoors. Enjoy a nice picnic and relax with your family, or go out on the lake and enjoy a calm, relaxing day of fishing. If you want to stay longer than a day, the camp does offer overnight camping.
Memorial Park
Sitting on 24.3 acres of land, Memorial Park provides lots of space to enjoy a day with the family, gathering with friends, or a company picnic. Located in the southwest corner of Valley Parkway and Corporate Drive, you will find sand volleyball courts, playgrounds, open play spaces, and walking trails for everyone to enjoy.
It is also the future home of the Thrive Multigenerational Recreation Center where a gymnasium, indoor natatorium, expanded fitness area, indoor walking track, indoor playground, and community rooms will be available.
There is nothing like spending time outside, enjoying the beauty of nature with family and friends. The many parks and outdoor recreational areas in and around the Lewisville area provide the perfect locations for a day out with friends, company gatherings, or family celebrations.
