Canucks Sports Bar
Found at 1102 Texas St., the Canucks Sports Bar is the perfect spot to play some darts or pool, grab some food and beverages, and then sit back and listen to live entertainment on the weekends. Every Friday night the bar hosts karaoke night, and on certain Saturdays you can rock the night away to local performers. Solo artist Kim Youkin plays rock, country, and blues on the first Saturday of each month.
Hat Tricks Bar and Grill
Billed as Lewisville’s premier live music and sports-watching venue, Hat Tricks Bar and Grill hosts local, regional, and national acts at its 101 E. Corporate Drive location. These performers take the state throughout each month, so there’s always something to look forward to. You can purchase tickets to one of the venue’s major concerts or attend one of its free shows. Some bands that have performed at this location include Fuel, Coolio, Tone Loc, Wade Bowen, and Brandon Jenkins.
Medical City Lewisville Grand Theater
Found at 100 N. Charles St., the Medical City Lewisville Grand Theater is a premier public arts facility that is equipped with acoustics designed specifically for live music. Since it opened its doors in 2011, the 296-seat theater has hosted various artists who have participated in weekly acoustic jam sessions. All acoustic instruments and levels are welcome, as are all music genres. Head to the theater and listen to these talented performers put on a two-hour show.
Music City Mall Lewisville
Located at S. Stemmons Freeway, the Music City Mall Lewisville offers more than just an ideal shopping location, although there are more than 130 specialty stores and several big-box retailers available. Live music concerts occur at the mall every day of the week, and you can listen to the performers while you grab a beverage or just rest your legs after a busy day of finding excellent deals.
The local acts perform their free two-hour sets either at the Center Court or at Macy’s Piano. Some days there are up to five acts that take the stage throughout the day. These performers have included Rick McCoy, Vic Pore, Joe Sparky Montoya, Robin Lore, Sojourn LIVE, and Lynn Stanphill.
Rusty Beagle Sports Grill
As a family-owned and operated restaurant, the Rusty Beagle Sports Grill prepares all its food fresh daily. Head into its 1301 FM 407 location on Saturdays and order some delicious food, try one of its 22 beers on tap, and sit out on the patio while you enjoy some live music. These local acts perform every Saturday from 8 until 11 p.m.
Even if the weather is a bit chilly, the patio has heaters and a fire pit to keep you toasty. The patio is dog- and kid-friendly, and there are giant Jenga and Checkers to keep you entertained. Chris Raspante, with his blend of blues and rock and roll, guitarist Tyler Curtis, and Dallas-based singer-songwriter Adam Case have all taken the stage at this sports bar.
Sullivan Old Town BBQ & Bodega
Formerly known as the Old Town BBQ & Bodega, the Sullivan Old Town BBQ & Bodega opened its doors in 2020 at 301 S. Mill St. It smokes its meats the old-fashioned way in pits to produce food that’s fresh, tender, and juicy. Saturday nights also include all-you-can-eat catfish and pork ribs
Don’t just stop into this establishment for the food, though, as it has local musicians putting on memorable performances every Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. People who have performed at the restaurant include country artist Terry Anderson and his son Cody as well as acoustic performer Terry V who sings songs from the 60s, 70s, and 80s.
T’s Bar and Grill
Established in 2007 at 1305 S. State Highway 121, T’s Bar and Grill has grown into one of the area’s best places to listen to national and local live acts. As a 21-and-older establishment, the bar stays open until 2 a.m., ensuring that you can enjoy the music for several hours. You rarely pay a cover charge, but if there is one, you can pay at the door. Larger events require reserved tickets, and it has a VIP area. Tuesday nights feature open mic night, while Friday or Saturday nights typically have live bands taking the stage.
Perhaps what sets this place apart from others is its dedication to offering the latest in audio and lighting equipment. These state-of-the-art features allow bands to emit the best sound possible, enhancing the energetic atmosphere. Some bands that have performed here include the Rockaholics, KISS Unplugged, Tongues ‘N’ Toes, Fleetwood X, and The Rockafellas.
Z Grill and Tap
Featuring a range of bands, including jazz and country, Z Grill and Tap has bands performing almost any night during the week. Located in nearby Flower Mound at 2321 Cross Timbers Road, this establishment opened in 2004 and continues to host several live music events throughout the week. Stop in and enjoy contemporary and casual dining while listening to local talent perform. Bands that have hit the stage include the Matthew Banks Trio, Jimmy Cole, the Enablers, The Rumble Kings, and the Funk and Cover Brass Band.
