One of the best things about owning a Jeep is taking it off-road and seeing the country differently. These are the best places around the U.S. to go off-road with your Jeep before you die.

Washington Backcountry Discovery Route
This 4×4 track in Washington State is a great place to start if you’ve never been off-roading. From start to finish, the trail should take between five and six days and is mostly flat. However, there are a few winding areas that you’ll want to take extra care of. The trail’s main draw is the vast landscapes you’ll pass through along the way. You’ll see lush, green rainforests as you pass the Cascade Mountains and then suddenly be in the dry desert of Eastern Washington.

There are a few places where you can park and camp beside your vehicle, but if you prefer creature comforts like beds and showers, you’ll also find hotels and campsites along the route.

Alpine Loop Trail
It’s only possible to traverse this mountainous off-road track in Colorado for roughly half of the year, as it is covered with snow from November to at least late February. The best time to take to the trails is between June and September when everything is lush and the roads dry.

The Alpine Loop Trail is 63 miles long and crosses two 12,000-foot passes. You’ll go through old ghost towns and see some truly breathtaking views.

Rausch Creek Off-Road Park
This is a playground for off-road lovers.  Rausch Creek Off Road Park is located in Pine Grove, Pennsylvania, and has more than 3,000 acres of trails that range from easy to expert. It’s also a great place to learn more about the basics of off-roading from a professional. The park offers weekly courses on off-roading for different skill levels. So, even if you think you know what you’re doing, their courses can help you reach the next level.

The park is a beautiful place to get off-road. You’ll find everything from lake views to mountain passes. Campsite access is included in your entry fee. The park is open year-round, so those who want to get some experience off-roading in the winter will love it here.

Dalton Highway
Want to take your Jeep off-road in Alaska? The Dalton Highway is one of the most incredible places to do it. The road is 414 miles of gravel and takes you past some of Alaska’s most majestic scenery. This is only recommended for experienced off-roaders because there are absolutely no services along the way, and you must bring all of the supplies you’ll need for the trip. You’ll also need a CB radio to tune into the local trucker’s station. Also, watch out for the Grizzlies!

There are many incredible places around the country to explore in your Jeep. Whether you’re looking to dip your toes into the off-road waters for the first time or you’re a seasoned pro, there are plenty of places to get your adrenaline fix.
