Owner Sheena, who affectionately refers to herself as Mami, opened the shop aiming to make healthy food delicious, fun, and easily accessible to everyone. She gives back to the community by using ingredients from local vendors, helping with the community garden, and using eco-friendly, sustainably sourced resources. Thanks to Sheena’s commitment to supporting the local community, you can also enjoy artwork from local artists on exhibition when you visit the shop.
The menu at Bowl Mami includes a selection of smoothie bowls, fruit and vegetable smoothies, freshly made juices, loose-leaf teas, and types of toast. The restaurant makes its smoothies and smoothie bowls without added sugars, preservatives, or fillers, such as milk or juice, making them an excellent option for a variety of dietary needs. It also sweetens its dishes with organic raw local honey and offers a variety of gluten-free substitutions, such as gluten-free granola for the smoothie bowls or bread for a slice of avocado toast.
Bowl Mami is located just outside of Lewisville in Carrollton, Texas. You can find the restaurant at 2701 Old Denton Road in Suite 160. It’s open from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Saturdays. It also offers takeout orders.
Seven Mile Cafe
Seven Mile Cafe aims to provide an energetic atmosphere and excellent service. With five locations throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area, this local chain of cafes focuses only on breakfast and lunch services. Its menu includes a range of choices, including some vegan and gluten-sensitive options.
For breakfast, choose from a selection of bowls, egg scrambles, pancakes, sandwiches, eggs benedict dishes, French toast, and waffles. One lighter option may be the Original Bowl, which features granola topped with acai berry puree, blueberries, bananas, strawberries, and almond milk. For a savory vegan option, consider the Congress Street Benny. Freebirds World Burrito
Freebirds World Burrito is a fast-casual Tex-Mex restaurant. This Texas chain boasts a menu of burritos, bowls, salads, nachos, tacos, and quesadillas. The menu includes a variety of options to satisfy many dietary needs. This includes meat and vegan options, such as plant-based chorizo, grain-free tortillas for gluten-free guests, and cauliflower rice for diners concerned about carbohydrates.
Most options on Freebirds World Burrito menu allow you to build your own dish, starting with a protein followed by rice, beans, cheese, toppings, and sauces.
