The city of Lewisville is well-known for its impressive parks — 23 in total. Each has something different to offer, so you can choose which ones you’d like to visit depending on you and your family’s lifestyle and preferences.
If you’re looking for a fun hike and bike trail to enjoy with your loved ones, head to Central Park, which features a trail that’s approximately 1 mile long. Alternatively, Iris Lane Park offers a jam-packed playground for children that’s perfect for a family day out and a full basketball court for lovers of team sports.
The sprawling Railroad Park is also well worth a visit. With 269 acres, 16 sports fields, a dog park, a skate park, three lakes, and a trail for walking and jogging, this park caters to anyone and everyone, especially those interested in fitness. The park’s sports fields include eight soccer complexes, four football complexes, and four baseball/softball complexes.
For an unbeatable summer day out, visit Lewisville’s stunning Lake Park. Amenities include a picturesque swimming beach, a marina, a fishing barge, three golf courses, athletic facilities, and a group picnic area.
If you’re looking for an outdoor space that’s closer to the center of town, head to Wayne Ferguson Plaza. In the heart of Old Town Lewisville, this space often hosts weekly free exercise classes, art pop-ups, and community events.
