ColorPalooza

ColorPalooza gives Lewisville residents the chance to enjoy beautiful works of art and create some of their own. Local artists in attendance will create murals and other works of art right before your eyes. High school students can create chalk sidewalk art and compete for scholarships. The little ones will enjoy the festival’s interactive arts and craft projects.
The entire family can design and create matching tie-dye shirts as a unique keepsake. You can learn about sustainability while creating recycled art pieces and decorating recycling bins. The artisan market gives you the opportunity to support local and regional artists. The festival also features food vendors, live music performances, carnival rides, and a petting zoo.

Fiesta Charra

In Mexico, the Charreada is an event similar to American rodeos. Fiesta Charra showcases traditional Charreada activities based on the animal husbandry practiced on the haciendas of Old Mexico. The entire family will enjoy horsemanship exhibitions and competitions. Participants in these events wear traditional Charreada costumes. Live music, kids’ activities, and authentic Mexican food are just some of Fiesta Charra’s highlights.

Frisco Uncorked

In the nearby town of Frisco, the Uncorked festival offers visitors the opportunity to sample some of the area’s finest restaurants. Participating restaurants include Haywire, The Common Table, and Howard Wang’s. In addition to enjoying delicious samples, you can pick up some cooking tips at the festival’s live culinary demonstrations led by North Texas experts.
Wine from local and regional wineries will also be available. As you sip and savor, enjoy live music from popular North Texas artists. A portion of Frisco Uncorked’s proceeds will go to the Frisco Association for the Arts so that you can help out a good cause while you party.

Pave The Way Day

Pave The Way Day is a celebration of North Texas’s unique highway system. The event takes place at the headquarters of the North Texas Tollway Authority. The kids will enjoy exploring the big trucks and equipment that help build our roads. They can also have their picture taken next to highway signs and participate in hands-on engineering activities. Demonstrations include how to efficiently change a tire and a remote-controlled lawnmower navigating tough Texas terrain. Enjoy snacks from some of the area’s favorite food trucks.

Guyer Band Craft Fair

The Guyer Band Craft Fair, benefiting the John H. Guyer High School Band, features arts and crafts, jewelry, artisan candles, and other unique items from local and regional artists. It’s the perfect opportunity to find a gift for that special someone while supporting a good cause. Local food trucks will be in attendance, and the band will provide live music.
These are just some of the many fun festivals coming to the Lewisville area this spring. No matter which one you attend, you’re sure to have a great time.
