2022 Ram 2500 Tradesman
The Tradesman features a regular or crew cab with a box sized at either 6 feet and 4 inches or 8 feet. All exterior color options are monotone, and a total of three different wheel rims are available. Engine options include the 6.4-liter V-8 Heavy-Duty Hemi™ MDS as standard or a 6.7-liter I-6 Cummins turbo diesel engine as an option. An eight-speed transmission is standard, and six-speed automatic transmission is also available.
The interior includes three-passenger seating in a 40/20/40 split-bench seat, and a center seat console is available. Uconnect 3 infotainment system comes as standard and offers drivers steering wheel controls.
2022 Ram 2500 Lone Star (Big Horn)
The Lone Star builds off the Tradesman with improved interior features, including power outboard mirrors with integrated turn signals, power locks and windows, and remote keyless entry. The vinyl interior of the Tradesman is replaced with cloth in the Lone Star. The infotainment system gets upgraded to the Uconnect 5 with an 8.4-inch touch screen, Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a six-speaker stereo system.
2022 Ram 2500 Power Wagon
The Power Wagon is the off-roading trim level of the Ram 2500 and includes features geared toward exploring and camping in the wilderness. It has features unique to the trim level, including a front electric winch, Bilstein performance-tuned shocks, and a front-disconnecting stabilizer bar. It also has front and rear locking differentials.
The Power Wagon features include a 115-volt outlet, a dampened tailgate, an eight-way power driver’s seat, and a 7-inch driver display. You’ll also appreciate touches, such as skid plates, 17-inch alloy wheels, hill-start assist, hill-descent control, and LED exterior lighting.
2022 Ram 2500 Laramie
The Laramie trim level is the midrange of the pack with luxury details, including a nine-speaker Alpine audio system, heated steering wheel, and power-adjustable brake and gas pedals. For interior comfort, there are heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and power seats for the driver and passengers. You also get the benefit of park assist through cameras in the front and rear.
The Laramie can tow up to 37,090 pounds when opting for the Cummins turbo diesel engine. It rests on 18-inch tires with a choice of one of three rim styles.
2022 Ram 2500 Laramie Longhorn
The Laramie Longhorn builds on the Laramie level with the addition of heated, ventilated front bucket seats, heated rear seats, and outboard mirrors with memory. You’ll also get to enjoy features that include chrome running boards and rain-sensing windshield wipers. There’s a remote tailgate release from inside the cabin and LED bed lighting, so you can see your cargo at night.
The infotainment system includes HD and satellite radio, Bluetooth connectivity, and an 8.4-inch touch screen as standard, with a 12-inch touch screen available. Other technology features include Alexa, a media hub with two USB ports and an audio input jack, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and integrated voice command.
2022 Ram 2500 Limited
The Limited is the top-of-the-line trim level for the 2022 Ram 2500 series. It comes with a 12-inch touch-screen infotainment system and power running boards that drop down when the door is opened and retract when closed. The interior accents consist of real wood and aluminum. A wireless charging pad is included. You’ll also get blind-spot monitoring to let you know when someone is driving in your mirror’s blind spots and rear cross-traffic alerts when you’re in reverse, and an object is in your way.
The Limited gets 20-inch wheels and the RamBox Cargo Management System in the bed. This consists of locking storage bins on either side of the truck bed. It can accommodate up to 120 beverage cans, tools, camping gear, and anything else you want to stow away.
Standard Body Configurations
It’s worth noting that only the Tradesman and Lone Star have regular cab options. All other trim levels feature the crew cab. All trim levels apart from the Tradesman come standard with Uconnect 5, which is an upgrade in terms of more memory than the previous versions and has Wi-Fi capability.
Safety Features and Suites
All trim levels of the 2022 Ram 2500 have standard safety features, including anti-lock braking systems, seat belts, and airbags. The available safety systems include the following:
- Forward collision warning with active braking.
- LaneSense lane departure warning.
- Adaptive cruise control with stop.
- ParkSense® front and rear park assist.
The 2022 Ram 2500 has an available adaptive forward lighting system that features LED lighting, 15-degree turning headlamps, and a 360-degree surround-view camera. Another available feature includes an LED trailer hitch light that shines directly down over the hitch to make hooking up at night a breeze.
